"Azeroth Must Not Fall!"
The Watch, and it's Enclave, are a division of the Illidari who are best known for having served as the rearguard during the War on Argus, protecting civilian cities from coming under Legion fire.
They are currently, and always have been, led by the Lieutenant Voidrunner and her Small Council of Advisers. They and their forces represent some of the strongest left alive that the Demon Hunters have to offer.
While their age old foe are largely scattered to the stars and no immediate concern, they hunt them still and will until their extinction. This however makes up a tiny fragment of their new role as dark guardians; willing to do whatever it takes. The ends will justify the means if Azeroth continues to stand, no matter how much blood is shed.
New blood are scarce now but always welcome among their ranks, they have even taken in a handful of non-Demon Hunters who have faithfully served them as one the Ashtongue and Coilskar did.
The Watch's Small Council
"Get Back to Work!"
Council members come and go like the tide. Death or departure eventually claims them all but ever waiting in the wings is some hopeful Enforcer to ascend to the role;
The Huntmistress, Illidari Lieutenant Shylvaindae Voidrunner leads the Watch. A brilliant, if unorthodox, tactician whose madness is her method. She is infamous within the Illidari for her cruelty; perhaps this is unfounded.
Captain Dreadpath is the third in command of the Watch and is the prime authority, aside from the Advocate and Huntmistress. In particular he works to ensure the quality of the Watch's Sin'dorei division, the Enclave, and that they can match skill and glaive with their Kaldorei siblings.
Iralon is short, sweet and always ready for a fight (or a hug) , He is a bit of an introvert but always keeps his cat by his side for company despite the protests of his glaive-siblings. He is one of the newest Councillors.
Old and loyal to a fault, Cinthor the Howlmaster can and will ensure every mission is followed through. Having run his own squad of Fel Hammer Hunters for a long time, he specializes in taking out threats under orders from the Fel Hammer, howling, and making gadgets on the spot.
Alliance vs Horde
"The Petty Squabbles of Mortals do not Sway us"
Azeroth has been long dominated by one defining conflict. The clashing of the Alliance of Lordaeron and the Orcish War-Horde. It is a war unlike any other to have ever waged across the world and it seems almost everyone has been, in time, dragged into it.
However, there are still some bastions of neutrality who shun swearing oaths to either side. Those whose callings take them to the bigger picture outside of some petty idealogical differences. The Kirin Tor, the Cenarion Circle and the Ebon Blade.
The Illidari stand among them. They are protectors of Azeroth. They are Night Elf and Blood Elf both. Many of them would have left their homes to join Illidan's Forces long before their peoples ever became of either faction.
Some individual Demon Hunters may forgo their sworn loyalty to the cause and defect to the factions, but they speak not for the vast majority of their kin who regard them now as traitors.
As such, the Watch and its Enclave being Illidari they are not Alliance. They are not Horde. They are bound by the laws of neither. They heed only the call of the Slayer, or Lord Stormrage himself.
The Fall of the Legion
"Our hunt is Eternal"
Demon Hunters, Illidari, the Bane of the Burning Legion.
There is naught that the servants of fel fear more than those who turn their own powers against them. There is no where, no distance, they will not track them through. They are the apex predators of apex predators.
However the Legion has been in decline since the fall of Argus, scattered to the stars and without leadership. An army with no general. Many seem to consider this a job done, but not the Illidari. While yet a single one still draws breath, their work is not complete.
Even then, what of Azeroth? Do they merely lay down their glaives and surrender themselves to the Twisting Nether when other enemies would see their home destroyed?
The skills of an Illidari are transferable to all sorts of general monster slaying. Undead, Void, Cultists. This is largely what occupies their time now, as they adapt to a more flexible dark protector role.

The Spectral Watch
Any group is only as strong as its weakest members. In the Illidari, they kill the weakest member if their quarry doesn't get to them first. Those who survive are only the strongest and often most unstable;
Former Advocate Taegwen Moonshadow is a Nightborne Illidari, fiercely loyal to the cause and to her other Hunters. While often acting cold and aloof to her glaive siblings, she would gladly sacrifice herself in their stead, and wishes rather than for herself to become the best of the Illidari, to be able to train others for that role instead.
The reserved Ex-Flamemaster now Lord Inquisitor of The Spectral Watch, Thel'dinor Moonscar is the definition of Illidari; be it in his skill in combat or attitude towards others. Not one for words Thel exists as a more stern and often cocky leader in comparison to the other members of the council.
Zatra Felflame, ex-Tomemaster, spent a lot of time on the Fel-Hammer before being sent to the Eclipse and the Watch to keep an eye on things. She's well-versed in the magic as well as physical combat. Being a keen long time scholar, she knows a lot about the legion and their inventions as well.
Shan'din Gladestalker is a huntress who stands about a head shorter than most Kaldorei with few overtly visible mutations. Formerly a rogue, she made a rash decision to join the Illidari after losing her sister. After being released from the vault she began to apprentice under Taegwen Moonshadow. She continues to serve the Watch's new former Advocate dutifully.
A shadowy enigma, little record exists of the Demon Hunter Valec Thrice-Cursed, eccentric fel-tech and wandering glaive despite his long history of service with the Watch. Walking the fine line between loyalty and betrayal, he carries a terrible burden; and a dark secret.
Kyalian Duskfire, former sentinal turned Illidari, is rather optimistic and often amuses herself by watching others make a fool of themselves. She's quick to laugh and enjoys life as much as she can these days.
OOC Information About Us
It's Just RP, Innit?
As wonderful as any in character thing might sound, we are not our characters at the end of the day and certainly, any interested parties would desire some OOC information before going any further.
We have fairly basic rules when it comes to our RP. Be polite, do not meta-game, do not god-mod, do not publically ERP and please obey the blacklist. If you can do those five things it shall be all we ever ask and you'll have a great time with us.
We use a system for our events based off of the FATE Core pen and paper system, as well as some extra community stuff that needs to be set up for cross faction roleplay. Don't worry about this to much, as the officer team will be more than glad to help you personally.
If you're too shy to ask, don't worry. There's a video tutorial up in the discord you can watch instead and it slowly talks you through everything.
Our OOC community is extremely welcoming, all of us are really good friends and often spend evenings together doing things other than RP.
That is why, despite no longer playing WoW, we have decided to keep our community together alive.
In light of the lawsuit allegations filed against Blizzard, we have moved our platform to a entirely Discord based pen and paper system. We have IC channels to RP on, to run events by, and in theory everything WoW provided except a game. It's not for everyone but if you're like us and love your character but can't stand the thought of supporting Blizzard anymore (or just want a niche Warcraft based tabletop game) you're in with the right crowd.
